This morning I read on my BBC News app about a company named GitHub. This internet/software company based in the US has a case that typifies what Nigeria leadership and even followers lack in management. One of the companys developer resigned and thereafter twitted that shes been harassed by leadership at GitHub for two years and I am the first developer to quit,. Her claim indicted a co-founder of the company and an engineer. In response, GitHubs chief executive promptly apologised to the developer, effected a compulsory leave for the accused co-founder and engineer. Furthermore, the company proceeded with a full investigation. Amazingly, all these have happened between Friday 14th and Tuesday 18th March! No live was lost there but the leadership knows managing the emotion of the aggrieved former employee as well as their reputation as a company immediately is a compulsory matter that should not be compromised. Ironically, I hear most of our leaders have one Toronto or Harvard certificate in management or the other.
