This morning, I visited the scene of the last night fire incident. Some of the victims were there to assess the damage. I have also learnt from the victims that there were no candidates among the children. There was a Form 3 student and several lower primary pupils who have not attended school today as they lost clothing, books and are also traumatized. Most of the victims who were at the scene this morning are visibly traumatized and couldnt talk much. But I manged to talk to two who narrated to me how the fire began. The fire, they said, originated from the washrooms. I have been in touch with representatives of some of the local media including Omar Mwalago of Radio Rahma and Tobias Chanji (Standard). I hope the victims will get the needed support from both the government and well wishers.
