This morning, I was able to watch a young autistic girl show her crossbred gilt in the market hog show. She had the biggest smile on her face as she paraded her prize animal and it only got even bigger as the judge walked up and told her that her gilt would be third in the class. It makes you wonder what happened to us in our lives. Sure we strive to be the best we can be, and that is the way it should be. But have you ever just set back and took time to be happy with where you are? Have you ever took time to be thankful for what you have? In the grand scheme of all things competition, your success is not determined by others. It is all about taking pride in your work, being thankful to the good Lord up above for every opportunity you have and knowing great people you get to compete with. You owe it to your own physical and spiritual well-being to just be happy with your lives and take each day as a gift.
