This morning I was brought to the book of Joel. Ive taken some scripture that has stood out to me, and I am believing this is the direction our churches need to take in these last days. A lot of prayer, fasting and repentance needs to take place. A day is coming! But before that day, This is what God was showing me this morning. A call to repentance (Return to The Lord) WORSHIP LEADERS: (Joel 1:13 msg) And also you priest, put on your robes and join the outcry. You who lead people in worship, lead them in lament. Spend the night dressed in gunnysacks (sackcloths) you servants of my God. (Fellow worship leaders, find out what this says to you.) CHURCH LEADER: (Joel 1:14) Declare (consecrate) a holy fast, call a special (sacred) meeting, get the leaders together, round up everyone in the country. Get them into Gods sanctuary (the house of The Lord) for serious prayer to God. (Joel 2:1) Blow the trumpet in Zion! Trumpet (Sound) the alarm on my holy mountain! Shake the country up! Gods judgement is on the way--the days almost here! PEOPLE: Change your life! (Joel 2:12-13) Now, therefore says The Lord, turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here is Why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot. This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe. (Joel 2:32) And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of The Lord shall be saved. I dont claim to know everything, I dont. But I do believe God is trying to tell us all something, just want to do my part. Both young and old are leaving here at rapid pace. Many are suffering and not understanding why or how they can be healed, set free. Time for the church to take a good long look at itself. From the leaders on down. ****Too many hurt people who was once inside, now standing outside looking in.**** What does your assigned region look like today? How often does that trumpet sound? Is there a repentance taking place? Has prayer and worship overtaken your ministry? Our goal should be to reach as many people as spirit filled possible. #WorshipFastingPrayerForRepentance
