This morning after feeding the flock and giving them fresh water, Delphino kept crowing. I asked him again what he needed only to look this time to see . . . a BABY!!!! Yep finally!!! Lilly and Phoebe and yes Evelyn still go broody and I gave up taking their eggs. So to my surprise there was Lily with her baby!!! She is a very good Mommy -very protective and the baby knows to stay with her. She was teaching her how to eat her food and get water. I left her a lone with her baby as it seems the hens know to leave her baby alone. However the young ones did try to bother her baby but they were quickly put in their place. I checked on Mom & Baby this evening and the baby was tucked under Lily. Too cute! No one was near except Evelyn sitting on her eggs! What a surprise and I have to "Thank" Delphino for alerting me there is a new member to his flock! :)
