This morning as I was driving Kate to school, after a frazzled morning running around and getting ready, and this song came on. Music always has a way of speaking to me. Although on the upswing of my slump that I have found myself in (a rollercoaster of emotions is consistent with our lifes circumstances) I was encouraged by this and reminded of just how much I have to be thankful for. Grayson, who is still with us, fighting like a champ. Katelyn, who is beautiful, inside and out. Brady, who loves us all and supports us every single day. A community group from church that pooled money to bless us this Christmas. A church that has organized two recent fundraisers to help with medical expenses. A friend who is running in honor of G, raising funds and awareness. A local business that has adopted our family to provide Christmas for our kids. Nieces and nephews who wouldnt accept Christmas gifts to offset Gs bills. Sisters who gave a portion of their Christmas money back to our family. Friends who are right next to me and accept me whether Im tough as nails or bitter, sad, angry. A gym with women that consistently supports my endeavors to find my own health. Random anonymous gifts. Family who loves us and sacrifices to help however they can. Christmas cards that make me smile, some with gifts of love enclosed. The fact that we have been able to stay on top of Gs medical expenses so far thanks to the generosity of friends and even those we have never met. A clear report after a questionable mammogram and as a result a follow up ultrasound. Friends that are willing to watch my kids so Brady and I can have a date night. The list could go on forever. I truly have so much to be thankful for. Its easy to get caught up in our own circumstances and forget all the blessings that are around us each day. Thank you all for supporting, loving, praying for, and being on this journey with us. (There are so many of you, it wont even let me tag you all!)
