This morning during church service, I was trying to get the Ustream camera connected in order to live stream our service. But this morning It wasn’t working out as planned, every time it looked like the camera was going good and getting ready to connect, it kicked back off, and It done this countless times. Then our countdown to service started, time was counting down and i was still in a mess. I could have easily gave up on it, and took the easy way out, and put the camera down and said “I give up!” and talk about the things that went wrong, but, i didn’t, i kept pushing forward and prayed for a strong connection. On my last attempt before time ran out, i had to reset the whole camera to factory settings…Minutes quickly turned into seconds as the countdown was still ticking, and at the end of the countdown the camera came on with a green light and said “connected”. Saying that, God revealed to me thats how life is. As time is ticking down in our lives, most of us rely on a unsteady connection, We think its going good, then the devil quickly comes in messing everything up, to try “disconnect” us from God. You can either give into the devil’s attempt to disconnect you and talk about the things he did to keep you from God, or you can press forward and keep focused on that reliable connection, which is GOD. You can take the easy way out, give up and push it to the side and give into the devil’s attempt, but once you make up your mind and PUSH to that sturdy connection, the result is worth it! Sometimes we have to even RESET ourselves, ask for forgiveness, and wipe away garbage from the past, in order to have steadier connection and be more focused on God. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. (1 Timothy 6:12-16)
