This morning, heavily armed gunmen shouting Islamic slogans stormed a Paris newspaper office killing 12 and wounding 20 in the deadliest attack in France in four decades. A few hours later a car bomb exploded in front of a French synagogue. This comes on the heels of radical Muslims torching over 900 cars in Paris on New Year’s Eve. These tragedies must be a wake up call to our national and international leaders who refuse to recognize that we are under attack from within our societies. Allowing Islamic extremists to preach hatred against non-Muslims is leading to these fatal attacks on innocents and has encouraged thousands of Jews to flee France. This is more than anti-semitism, this is radical terrorism fueled by fanatical hatred. Closing our eyes will not make this go a way. We must act now before it is too late.
