This mornings dream was a doozy! I had been hitchhiking across the country like Ive done before... and had stopped at my moms house to crash. She had mail for me about a big ASVAB/SAT-like test I could take that would open many doors for me. The catch was... I had one day to get there then I had to stay at the college for two days in testing. I had half the money for an air ticket from washing dishes at a bar I passed through the week before. Mom lent me the other half and we got the ticket. Joy. Not.. her car was broke down, so I couldnt get to the airport. I called Uncle Doug.. he was all dismissive about how important the test was but came to get me and take me to the airport. While I was packing, Uncle Doug took off and told mom he was at the bar up the street when I was ready. As I stepped out the door to walk to the bar DAD showed up! He was 1/2 drunk but said hed take me to the bar. On the way.. the law got after us. Dad drove like a madman! Over curbs, through fruit stands on the sidewalk.. everything... we lost them in Wrigley Fields parking lot (Chicago). We hopped the turnstiles and went into the game. Many Inchs had taken over an entire terrace section (mid-right field seats), and were ALL 1/2 in the bag having a great time watching the game. I had not drank yet because I was still wanting to get to the airport. A ball came into our section... Uncle Chris got it. I celebrated with him and had a beer.... then I woke up like wow :D
