This mornings meeting was very enlightening and compelling on many fronts. Thanks to the good questions from council members Callahan, Griggs and Kingston for their attention to details concerning neighboring residents and to the apparent wasteful spending by the City of Dallas(of Aviation Funds)on the Commemorative Air Force. Kudos to Philip Kingston for his simple, direct questions that need to be further explored at the full council meeting. Kingston asks and Atkins fumes while we hear the following: . 1. What is the timeline for Dallas Executive Airport to begin showing a profit? (You might say,Whaaaat!? but this is a solid question that had no answer from City Staffer J. Hammond Perot, Mark Duebner, or Ryan Evans.) The answer was something like we can only hope. 2. What happens if we(the City Council) dont approve this deal? Stumbled response. Non answer 3.What happens if we(the City Council) offer less than the proposed money? Stumbled response. Non answer 4. Are there any other offers out there from other cities? No response. Non answer 5. Is there any other offers on the table? No response. Non answer Tennell Atkins started getting angry here with all the questions, because Kingston has not heard the Atkins rule: If you question Atkins about the airport, then youre disrespecting Atkins in his house. 6. Is anyone else interested in the CAF? No response 7. Can we get the same benefits for less money being offered? Tennell is yelling now at Kingston for asking too many questions. This is very similar to Vonciel Hill yelling at Griggs for asking too many questions about the Trinity Toll road and Lakes. See a pattern yet? J.Hammond Perot finally said in a very low and humble tone:The answer to your question Mr. Kingston is no. In the end, the proposal was approved. Next stop city council. Thanks Philip T.Kingston for asking the right questions. The non response answers and the final no tell you all you need to know about this scam of a deal.
