This nation cannot achieve meaningful development with the rate of insecurity, economic and political instability ravaging the country. The idea of some group of people taking up arms against their fellow citizens in demonstration of their grievances on the leadership of the country will not only worsen the situation but will also continue to tarnish the image and reputation of our dear country before the international community. Many people including opposition parties in the country has been appointing accusing finger on this administration for engineering the crisis rocking the country without looking for drastic measures to abate or even end the disturbances that has cripple activities and development especially in the north east. I reiterate, no responsible Government would allow its citizens to suffer in this manner. This insurgence is a very national issue which we must fight collectively. But if we continue to play politics with such issue, then peace, tranquility and development would continue to elude us in this country. It is axiomatic to say that a terror attack on any part of the world is an attack on everyone, terrorism has become a global phenomenon and all hands must be on deck to thrash out terror groups in the country and beyond. Government need to be sincere and more committed in managing the resources of this country to reduce youth restiveness and political unrest if we must consolidate our nascent democracy. Lets embrace peace and tolerance, respect the sanctity of life as muslims and christains for our future and that of the country.
