Mughal on Monday announced that the university would establish its campus in Sanjhoro town of Sanghar district soon. He made the announcement while chairing a meeting of deans and pro-vice chancellors of SU campuses in Bhitshah, Thatta, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Badin and Naushahro Feroze, chairmen of all departments and directors of various centres. The meeting discussed implementation of reforms brought about under the semester system, allocating theory and practical/laboratory teaching credit hours and introduction of a new course — human values — as compulsory subject in all departments from the next year. Prof Mughal said he was establishing more campuses in order to fulfil PPP leader Benazir Bhutto’s dream of providing higher education at the doorsteps of every family. He said that seven SU campuses were already functioning successfully. Another two campuses, one in Malir (Karachi) and the other in Sukkur, were being established while the Sanjhoro campus would be inaugurated soon.
