This page is a secular page with people from all over Bangalore. Given this, I do not think it is correct to ban an individual from the group. I have read the policies, however I think that we also should look at the situation that led to the banning. In the case I refer to, a lady who is obviously well respected on this page, who is a responsible citizen and a caring individual was banned. The reason I speculate was because of calling out and asking Gopa, the lady who killed the cobra, to be accountable. Yes, there was public shaming involved, but Nehru Kusum is neither an Internet troll nor a person who insults people for fun. She asked someone who had broken the law to be accountable for her actions. The admins could have send her a pm asking her not to publically shame Gopa. They could have asked Gopa why she chose not to listen to any advice given and reminded her that she cannot post such photos or take an arbitrary action. It is different when a person attacks a persons caste, state, religion and the like. Of course such a person should be banned. This is because there is a difference between posting an inflammatory post intended to insult a person and a post that calls for a person to think about what they did. Lets not forget that Gopa can be arrested and imprisoned for what she did. Nehru Kusum meanwhile, I am sure, will not let this banning from what is after all a social media page, come in the way of her activism. I think we all respect her and hold her in high regard. Gopa, well, who really applauds what she did?
