This past CORD PG meeting that deliberated among other things the ICC deferral ( never mind the mixed signals send afterwards; its politics), in the modern Kenyan politics and especially on the CORD principal RAO draws similarities from the life of the Eagle. Google informs us that the Eagle has the longest lifespan of its species. It can live up to 70 yrs for to reach here it must make hard decisions. In its 40s, its long and flexible talons cannot grab prey which serves as food, its long and sharp peak becomes bent, its old- aged wings due to its thick feathers stick to its chest making it difficult to fly, then the Eagle is left with only two options; die or go through a painful process of change which lasts about 150 days. The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its nest, there, the eagle knocks its beak against a hard rock until it plucks it out. After plucking it out, the eagle will wait until a new beak grows, then it plucks out its talons. When its new talons grow back, the eagle starts to pluck its old- aged feathers. After five months, the eagle takes its famous flight of rebirth and lives for 30 more years. The moral story; Its five or so months since the last general election, where RAO for the second time lost painfully the presidential race. options are very limited for this democratic second liberation freedom fighter. Reality is slowly but closing on him. The house at the hill is imminently eluding him forever. Formerly a tactful politician who could catch his opponents pants down, the game is reversing on him. Could it be that the decision to back an ICC deferral ( knowing well that this is what cost his top seat) the process of plucking off his old talons and going through a rebirth? I seat back and watch. Meanwhile, Metal is standing in solidarity wit our son WSR both morally and the purse. The case will crush soon but not before I travel and offer my solidarity too.
