This past June I took a trip to NAS Lemoore in Lemoore, California so I could attend my Navy reunion. I was with squadron VA-94 from 1982-1984 and we were known as the Mighty Shrikes. While visiting my old stomping grounds I had the pleasure of meeting the current commanding officer and executive officer of the squadron, now designated as VFA-94. Turns out that on Thursday while on flight operations aboard the USS Carl Vinson, two aircraft were involved in a mid air collision and one of the pilots involved was assigned to VFA-94. He is still reported as missing as I type this. The other pilot was assigned with VFA-113 and he was recovered with no serious injuries. Both aircraft have not been located as of yet. I ask you to please pray for the missing pilot and his family and shipmates. Thank you. news.usni.org/2014/09/12/breaking-two-fa-18sc-hornet-crash-pacific-one-pilot-missing
