This past Saturday, Sketchbook Go For The Gusto HSA-s, known as “Gus”, became the first Picard ever to earn a MASTERS title in herding from AKC! To earn the HSA-s title (Herding Started, course A, sheep) the dog needs to earn 3 qualifying scores under 3 different judges. After that, they need 8 more qualifying scores to earn the Master title. On the way to these titles, Gus was High In Trial (yes, beat the Border Collies and the Aussies and everyone else!) 3 times and Reserve High In Trial 2 times. Gus is owned by Sue & Rich Willing, from Manchester, MO (St Louis suburb), and very capably trained and handled by Tracy Parciak from Wright City, MO. He’s sired by Touch-A Diego, and out of UKC & IntCH Mava de la Vallee du Mouton. Liz Hansen is his very proud breeder. Gus is the first Picard to earn HSA-s title, first to go High in Trial, and now first to earn a Masters. He’s setting the bar pretty high! So proud of our Picards!!
