This past Sunday afternoon we gathered at our home to see my Nephew Jack off to college! My grandkids, daughters and their husbands and my sister-in-law Della were all present. We swam, ate, and then visited Superior Dairy for ice cream. My nephew ordered an extra large Sunday- three heaping scoops of ice cream. The food monument was nearly a foot high and 4 inches in diameter. It looked like one of those skewers of packed B-B-Q meat you might see at some Greek restaurant! My nephew, used his spoon to carver that ice sculpture. Toward the end Jack went into some play by play mode as if he were announcing some competitive football contest between two arch rivals slugging it out. My grandbabies and I, well we joined in and inserted ourselves as the packed house, chanting : Go Jack... Go. Go Jack...Go!) . We even went outside and drew some curious looks from other patrons inside as Jack spooned his way into the ice cream records, celebrating his departure to College. Jack did just that, downing a giant Superior Dairy Triple Sunday cheered on by his family. May GOD guide you nephew and keep you safe and grounded as you go away to College. You will be in my prayers often! Come back soon and defend your title; it was a blast. Photos were not taken of this event. It would have been too horrific for the calorie counters of the world to view such a spectacle... but funny!
