This past summer I heard from a number of constituents who were concerns with the news that those working at CFB Halifax will now have to pay for parking. In August I wrote to the Minister of National Defence to share your concerns and to express my belief that Canadas soldiers, DND staff and the voluteers that support them should be able to do their work without these additional costs. While I am happy to see that the Department has made an agreement with the Halifax Military Family Resource Centre to help provide free vistor parking for volunteers, I am dissappointed that the Minister is not considering a change in policy to reduce the financial burden of parking costs for our men and women in uniform. I will continue to raise this issue in Parliament this fall. Robert robertchisholm.ndp.ca/chisholm-writes-minister-regarding-parking-fees-at-cfb-halifax
