This past week has certainly been a demanding week. There were 20 World Changers that came to the church and gave the exterior an overhaul. They assembled from Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, and even from Harrison, TN to clean and then paint the front and side of the church. You will be able to notice a difference when you arrive on campus Sunday. Many thanks to Monty Daniels who worked feverishly to make repairs needed before paint was applied as well as Alan Dempsey who repaired the columns in preparation for the painting. Then today, Monty and Gary Crews cut the grass which just makes everything look great. I want to also thank the ladies that fixed lunches for the World Changers, Rhonda, Jeannette, Theresa, Ruby, Gladys, and Lois who also along with Brenda kept the church clean on the inside. Thank you everyone for a demanding but great week! Let me remind you that Sunday School starts at 9:15 and our worship service begins at 10:30. For tomorrow nights’ service, we will have homemade ice cream and goodies while we watch a movie in the Fellowship Hall. The Sunday Evening Service begins an hour earlier at 5:00 so the movie will be over before Choir Practice at 7:00. Please remember Randy Crawford in the death of his mother, Jesse Crawford, this past week. Graveside service was held today. Also, Bob Wrinkle passed away on Thursday. Please remember Virginia and the family during this time of grief. The family will receive family and friends at Turner’s Funeral Home on Monday from noon till 1:30 and graveside follows at National Cemetery at 2:00pm. Happy Birthday to Shelby Ellis, Demaree Dillon and Tori Bingham. Congratulations to Mickey and Sherry Collins as they celebrate their 38 anniversary. I look forward to seeing you shortly. Shalom, ~Pastor Jake
