This past weekend I attended my first UKC event, a conformation show held by the North Jersey Kennel Club, with my Dalmatian Kipper. This is a picture of the two of us in the Best In Show ring. Kipper took Group 1 at all four shows and finished his Championship. The members of the North Jersey Kennel Club were wonderful, very helpful and personable. My friend and I had a great time. The judges were wonderful as well. I love that they provided feedback as to why they made the choices they did. They helped my friend who is a novice handler and provided advice as well as insight. Thank you North Jersey Kennel Club for a well run and enjoyable event. Now to work on our Grand Championship, that should be even more fun!
