This petition would extend the definition of law enforcement officers to include officers who work for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Police, Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service, Government Printing Office Police, Mint Police, National Institutes of Health Police, Veterans Affairs Police and civilian police officers who work for the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps. These officers are currently excluded from certain benefits afforded other federal law enforcement officers.
