This photo is very special to me, and I wanted to share it with you all. It was taken in September, while walking around in the cemetery. I was standing there when all of a sudden this beautiful dragonfly came and landed on my hair. I didnt want to startle it, by speaking, because it might fly away. I was so excited and shocked because it attached itself to my hair and stayed there long enough to get pictures. It kept trying to move closer to get in front of my eyes, and I could feel like its little hands were braiding my hair. It was unreal! I believe that this dragonfly came to me to comfort me. It was like it knew me! For a number of years now, Ive had a special connection with dragonflies, and loved them, hence, the name of this group. But this by far was the best thing ever! I have finished packing, and I will be heading to bed soon. My little dog Diego has been so unsettled all day today, sticking to me like glue. As soon as the suitcases come out, he knows. I went to church this morning, and I thought I would get through the whole service without crying. Our choir holds hands when we sing the Our Father prayer. We started to sing, then that was it, the tears started flowing. I could not sing anymore, but thats okay, I still tried, and I made it through the O Canada song for Remembrance day, but the last hymn forget it. By then the Kleenex boxes were out and the whole choir was crying. Then our Priest came up to the choir loft after the service, and gave me a special blessing with the holy oil, and prayer for the sick. My whole choir family was behind me. Very nice. Tomorrow, I will be leaving for Toronto, and my surgery will be on Wed, Nov 12. I am going to come on here when Im able to, but my best friend, Debbie Sutcliffe will be updating my dragonfly diary regularly. Sending all my family and friends hugs and prayers and love.
