This photo of the moon was taken by Ken Scott up in the NW part of Michigan. I did not have a camera to show the moons orange color intensity while driving eastward home last evening along Metro-Parkway 16 Mile Road (construction on most roads is making us feel trapped, encased, less freedom to switch lanes, drive in & out of parking lots, just get home as quick as we can). Just as I got out of the long line of orange&white skinny markers for road construction, the bright orange light on a symbol gas pump strikes-up on the screen over my Escapes steering wheel. O Moonstruck hit me in the face and Oh no I yell with a few swear words for my stupidity asking myself, why didnt I get the gas earlier that day while cruising Woodward Avenue while my stomach was growling for food instead * so hunger overtook fuel-gas for the Escape? The Dream Cruise taking place this coming weekend was encasing my mind! Yep it sure did & completely unworried myself about driving later on a near-empty tank of petro in my Ford Escape SUV (love that car!). The Bright ding-ding- light over in the screen all aglow orange like the moon in the sky! {funny thought running out of gas in a classic car cruising up Woodward --- how embarrassing, roll it aside & have to walk a mile to the gas refueling station & back with all the crowds cheering & me with red nose embarrassment! } Panic - dont panic - Talk to the moon, communication intensifies & increases during the very full-moon so close to the Earth, doesnt it? Oh where is a fueling station my SUV is howling at me to take it & feed it or it is no go lady! My heart was in my throat, my head is over the steering wheel looking for the saving gas station. Chug-lug. I then turned left headed north on Mound & the Marathon Station dark but guy inside of the shack-building ***O*** Have to do a Michigan-Left & then the intersection of 17 Mile Road & Mound is well lite thank goodness. The traffic light is red & it seems like just hanging on red cause it knows I have emergency written all over my red nose. {{I was informed that we had 35 miles more to travel once the warning light goes on in the high-tech-computerized space-age-SUV. But what if they were incorrect - 35 miles; I think the manual for the Escape, which has a lot of maybe, perhaps, if & should be language in it, did say to get to a refueling station to put gas in the tank immediately!}} Aah! okay just relax a moment, turn off the motor, lock the door, pull the manual out again (no forget that). Get Debit Card, purse over jacket, get my composure & look at the gas pump stuff to figure out & remember how to do this right? I had not had to do this task of car stuff in a long time but this time we went remiss, too much in a hurry or preoccupied...whatever! I slide the Debit card in the slot & it says (three times) slide it again. Embarrassed *** how do I explain this to the guy behind the cash register? So I start off saying I have not had to fill a cars gas tank in a very long time; here is my card and I need ten dollars worth of gas. ((mind you, my car is the first one by the window, headlight still on, and no other cars at the station at all out of the 18 pumps not lite up but available)) He says, what number pump are you at? I was not trying to be a smarty but said my car is the only car out there & lite up like a holiday float! The two guys laugh. Okay it is all set he says.....$10 is available...... Okay I says with blush written all over my face & a plea of Help Me cause the car is new & I am not sure about handling the hose of gas to the cars tank. The other guy says not to worry & he says he will help & we go out of the cashiers store & he fuels it up with the greatest of ease. I thank him and he says no problem - hope you get home okay now. So off into the moons glowing orange light I drive with a smile on my red face of relief. I found how to turn on the radio & listen to great music to sing to. It was a very pleasant experience after-all! Today, rain storm & yesterdays trivia experience makes for a life that just clicks along!
