This photo was taken from the Parks Highway, the only highway for travel between Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska. Denali National Park sits near the halfway point between the 2 cities and is about a 4-5 hr drive from Anchorage. At 20,320 feet, Mt McKinley is the tallest mountain in North America and towers above the mountain range below it in this image. Many days it is clearly visible from Anchorage 160 miles away.
