This picture was taken on the fence we share with our neighbors, between Newbury Court and Norfolk Close. Is this beautiful cat yours? Here you see it patiently hunting songbirds at my backyard feeders. A single house cat that roams a neighborhood such as ours will kill around 40 songbirds a year. So looking at the wide-angle view that is tens of millions of birds killed in Canada annually (references range up to 350 million) by domestic or feral cats. As you may have gathered, I am very passionate about birds, and somewhat less passionate about other peoples pets in my yard. Please keep your cat indoors or otherwise contained to your property.
