This place must have had great doughnuts!!!! 3 Charged In Attempt At Break-In: Kingsport News January 20, 1956 BIG STONE GAP, Va. — Three Lee County men were arrested here early Thursday and later taken to jail at Wise on charges of attempting to break Into, and aiding in the attempt to break into, a building at Norton. Records at the jail listed the three as Roy Lee Oaks, 26, Harold David Oaks. 25, and Walter Nlzkobam, 25, all of Pennington Gap. The two Oaks men were charged with attempting to break into Cabs Doughnut Shop and Nizkobam was charged with aiding and abetting in the attempt. Lt. Eay Wells of the Norton police reportedly started chasing the men after seeing suspicious actions near the doughnut shop Wednesday night. He then radioed police here to watch for the car. It was spotted by Big Stone Gap police about 3 a.m. Thursday as It wiled into a service station and Nizkobam was arrested. An hour ater the other two were picked up while walking down an alley here. Inside the car police said they found , a foregin make pistol, mechanics tools, extra automobile hubcaps, seat cushions and some cakes. The car had out-of-state tags.
