This post could save a life.With cold temps now upon us,I turned my gas furnace on except it quit after awhile.After checking it out with my Brother,and Heat and cooling buddy,it was discovered not only was safety switch bad...the heat exchanger part of furnace had came apart.If still running the house would be full of carbon monoxide poison!! You cannot see or smell carbon monoxide....you just fall asleep and never wake up.So,with that being said,I thank God for allowing the safety switch to be the problem.It did its job,and made me realize my gripe about paying more money to fix that old thing was nothing compared to what could have been.Be safe people,and double check everything no matter how new or old your propane furnace is.If you heat with electric,check that as well...and,of course wood burners too.Also be careful with electric heaters and Kerosene heaters....moneys hard to come by for lots of people but,its sure secondary to your life,and your loved ones.:)
