This post is going to be a bit difficult to explain. Everybody knows Im an occultist, its pretty obvious, what you may not know is that Im an avid bibliophile especially for nearly extinct books; especially for books that are being exterminated. In 1988 the Watchtower Bible and Tract society, publishing artillery of the Jehovahs Witnesses worldwide published Revelation, Its Grand Climax at Hand (Yes they definitely titled it THAT way). Growing up in a rather strict religious home (we had group bible studies in our hall-room (yes I grew up with an enormous well lit hall as part of my house, lucky me) and this is a book we studied. Since I turned 14 and abandoned the religion of my birth (the New World Translation came out my birth year, a few months after my triumphant slip into this reality) I never really thought much about it, the book that is. Its a crazy book, combining world history with religious prophecy, interpretations of fantastic symbolism as literal events, and completely illustrated (lock, stock and both smoking barrels), and I suggest you find a copy somehow just to be exposed to its bombasticity. It turns out that about eight years ago, while I was deep in a heroin romance, the WBT society started to slowly eliminate this book from its publication flows, and then revised what was left (and apparently made it impossible to find a pdf or an e-book of the original whatsoever online). They consider it obsolete, and its older messages dangerous to their latest adaptions of interpretations of their own scriptural conceptions. Which is OKAY because I dont care about them, I do care about this book. Its hilarious if you have a really well developed sense of humor, and the amount of effort that went into the illustrations makes it stand-alone as the coolest religious graphic novelesque entity Ive ever encountered. You can still find the original hardcover versions around on major bookseller websites, and images of the illustrations abound online as well. Revelation, Its Grand Climax at Hand!!!
