This post is informational only and hope it is ok to post....I work on behalf of a genetics testing lab called Gene ID Advanced Molecular Diagnostics....We conduct predictive breast and ovarian cancer tests called BRCA 1, BRCA 2 and BRCA 28.. This is the same test that Angelina Jolie had done. It tests for gene mutations that are potentially cancer causing. This test can be potentially life saving as you can take the steps needed to prevent that from happening. The test is covered by insurance including medicare and medicaid plans...The lab does have a discounted rate for those who do not have insurance and will offer a payment plan. They have made the testing accessible to anyone who may be at risk...if anyone in your family has had breast or ovarian cancer and would like to have the test done please contact me..the test does have to be administered at your Drs office but I will get them set up to be able to do so....its a simple buccal swab of the cheek that is it...results typically come back within 5 days, however if there is a positive result the lab will re-run the test to prove accuracy which will take a few additional days...Again, this test can be potentially life saving for you and or any of your other family members who may be at risk...please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have.
