This protest was not planned. It happened because the Democratic Convention would not allow the Environmental Caucus members and other activitsts to peacefully hold up anti-fracking signs in the Convention hall. I personally was almost arrested for attempting to bring a simple sign in the Convention hall. People were outraged that the Democratic Convention denied our basic rights to freedom of speach and expression. I had no idea this many people expressed my views of the dangers of fracking. It was a great moment to express our basic democratic rights to a Governor that otherwise declines to listen to the people who elected him!!
