This really explains how I feel and how its hurt us to be passed by people that know our situation. Asking for help is the hardest thing we have ever done but I do it for Eric and to keep our family from going under. Nevertheless Im so glad ALS is getting much needed funding. I pray a cure is found soon and think its a great cause. I also pray a cure for every other life threatening disease is found and that some gimmick for them takes off like this did. I dont know anyone that has ever heard of nasopharyngeal carcinoma/tumor or has really cared to hear bc its never effected them. Because of this no one knows how awful and rare it is, and how treating it is one of the most painful there is. Chemo is one thing but radiation on the head and neck is a different ball game. Its not just skin deep. Theres no words to describe how debilitating it is and the strength it takes to overcome it. Eric is super human! It hurts to feel passed by or forgotten but we have so many whove done so much. Even a text, call, fb post or prayer. Everything no matter what is a blessing during this struggle.
