This recipe is not for the faint of heart but is very good and easy to make. Melindas Bread Pudding 1 loaf (SWEET) French style bread _Usually has 2 loaves to a pk. only use one save other for next time! 1 loaf raisin bread 1 loaf cinnamon bread 5eggs 1 1/2 teas. vanilla 2 cups sugar 2 cans evaporated milk cut all bread into large cubes set aside. I a large bowl beat eggs add sugar, milk and vanilla and beat till combined. Add all the bread mix to coat the bread . Pour into a sprayed 9x13 pan . In another bowl mix 1 1/2 cups brown sugar 1 stick margarine (slightly softened) 3/4 cups pecan pieces forming a crumble ,Sprinkle evenly over bread mixture cover with foil and bake 40min. at 350* uncover and bake 15min. longer or until golden brown. Can serve warm or cool completely and slice like a cake ....
