This rescue, based in new Hampshire, could have easily said these folks were crazy, driving from Virginia to visit. But, being a reputable rescue who understands people can love dogs and the cause as much as they do, they embrace these folks and revel in their loyalty. This hits a soft spot with me because when we adopted kenai I made sure we were the first people at the event, arriving a few minutes before it was set to start, I wanted to make sure we would definitely be taking him home since the rescue had said they had a lot of people with interest in him. I will never forget how the co-founder of the rescue humiliated me making fun of me to other people at the event because I showed up early thinking Id have a better chance at getting the dog. They ended up raffling off the puppies and kenai was meant to be with us because I won him. The actions of these rescues speak to what kind of organizations they are and what they value...
