This seems to be an add for the Japanese phone company NTT, and TVs Mythbusters announced on their page that they are looking to test if this could be done for real. It reminds me, though, that there was a World war II inventor in England that came up with a plan for a vertical firing flamethrower to prevent airplane attacks. That proved a bust when they tried it because the 1.2 milliseconds the airplane wing was in the flame wasnt long enough to raise the temperature at all, let alone cause dangerous destruction. In reality, that looked spectacular but didnt even mar the paint of an airplane. The same would be true of those flying shrimp, which would not be delicious as the gals in the ad say, but simply raw.
