This seminar is intended as a practical general knowledge for engineers on the subject of AC short circuit currents in electrical power systems. The focus of this seminar is the understanding and application of analytical techniques of short circuit analysis in industrial and commercial power systems. However, the same engineering principles apply to all electrical power systems including distribution utilities and system other than 60Hz. More than any other training, this seminar covers basics of short circuit currents. To help attendees on the same one-line diagram that is used in several other references is used in sample calculations. The data in this seminar is extensive enough and should be very useful for any type of power system analysis. Importance of short circuit is discussed to prevent faulty electrical wiring in accordance with the latest edition of the Philippine Electrical Code. The seminar will also discuss the importance of short circuit calculation in applying for Professional Electrical Engineers as suggested by the Board of EE. It is also as important for all licensed electrical practitioners like REE and RME who are planning to sign and seal plans in the revision of RA7920.
