This sleep deprived mums needs advice and help; Im not sure if this is the right email to send this to, but I was hoping you could post this question to Facebook? Im in desperate need of some help :( For the last six nights (not exaggerating, it has really been six) my two and a half year old has been waking up between 2 and 2.30am in the morning and crawling around the bed asking for different weird things like Get up please mummy icecream please mummy play monkey game please mummy watch Sponge Bob please mummy, and Ive tried getting him back to sleep each time (it literally takes hours, hes finally asleep by 5am and then he wakes up between 6.30am and 7am seemingly refreshed while I feel like a complete zombie. Ive had a couple of theories as to why he keeps waking up: the heat, the first four nights it was incredibly hot, but the last two nights have been lovely and cool. Mosquitoes, but my husband installed a fly screen two nights ago. Right now its 3am in the morning, and I ended up giving in and letting him get up and sit on the couch to watch Sponge Bob so that I could go back to bed and get a little bit of sleep (yeah right, every time Im out of his sight he calls out mummy, where are you?) when he woke up this time, after he asked for icecream, I asked if he wanted some food and he said yes, but when we got out of the room he said no breakfast please mummy and asked for medicine, saying his tummy hurt and his leg hurt, but an hour later theres still no sign of going to bed. Please forgive this email, its probably all over the place (my eyes are half closed while I type). Im going crazy, I dont know what to do to get him to stay asleep. Please help!!
