This slurkalicious thing is called The Paradise. It is many layers of deliciosity! First thin coconut cake, then toasted coconut paste, then coconut cream, then mango mousse, another layer of cake and then covered with Italian meringue. I dont think Ive mentioned yet this shops genius marketing. They have a big vent in the front of the shop wafting the most intoxicating aromas into the street. As soon as Im close Im all, Must have! I took a long walk up Boulevard Montparnasse and visited the cemetery where all the famous French writers and journalists are buried. I sort of collect cemeteries and this is one of the loveliest. The center has a flower bed with a beautiful angel statue. It was raining off and on which always seems so appropriate somehow. Then I met my new friend for dinner at La Rotonde and perfectly cooked leg of lamb with the best mashed potatoes ever. Ive seen them made on TV where they beat in almost as much butter as potato. Good thing I had a nice walk home!
