This song sounds like Hope to me. The auditory embodiment of Hope. I identify with Chicken Run so much. Some may see a quirky childrens movie, but I have always considered it my favorite movie of all time for its lessons of trials, disappointment, redemption, and hope. When I moved from CA to TX, and was too depressed to care if I ate or slept, we sat and watched Chicken Run. When I lost my very best friend, I watched Chicken Run. And lately, I introduced my girls to Chicken Run, with this new difficult move to WA upcoming (Unfortunately, it was a little scary for them!) The feeling of needing an escape, of being placed in circumstances outside of your control, of then turning to people (instead of the Lord) and having them let you down... I know it well. But when life gives you pie machines, make an airplane! Never give up on striving to get over that fence in your life and heart - and of uprooting the things that are keeping you in The Farm.
