This song was recorded at Audio Recording, Inc. in Seattle by legendary engineer, Kearney Barton (who recorded The Kingsmen “Jolly Green Giant” of “Louie, Louie” fame, The Sonics “Psycho”, The Frantics “Werewolf”, and many others.) It was an 8 track analog studio, recorded onto 1 inch reel tape. This is one of the few songs where I combined an actual song and converted it into a more abstract, avant-garde, psychedelic feel. This song was recorded during the Ka-Trina sessions and recorded shortly after the avant-garde tune entitled “Two Oh Five Or 2:05.” This song was actually planned and I had specific parts I wanted to perform on it. Part of the drums and small rhythm section on the synthesizer were programmed to follow a basic pattern, which I then put in a bunch of fillers to make it sound a bit annoying and nightmarish, hence the song title. All the sounds and the programming came from me and some stock sounds that were already on the synthesizer. To finish off this particular mix, I had to convert it from a cassette format onto the Audacity program on my computer with a JVC TD-W254 Double Cassette Deck 3 motor Silent Mechanism. This song is the 429th song written by myself. I had most of the parts worked out prior to recording it. Half of the synthesizer stuff was programmed before I got to the studio to record it. I know the brand of synthesizer was a Kawai, but that’s about all I remember of it. It was meant to be a mix of an actual song blended with avant-garde. It’s one of the few songs that worked exactly how I planned it. And to understand avant-garde, that almost defeats the purpose.
