This sounds amazing, but I have one problem with it. Lovecraft himself hated Re-Animator. Why they chose to have his story based on his least favorite work (it was his least favorite because he was PAYED to write a story that was not at all of his usually style, interest, or genre) makes no sense at all. His personal favorite works were At the Mountains of Madness, The Haunter of the Dark, and The Shadow out of Time. At the Mountains and Shadow were both very closely related, and show his interests in big epic tales. The Haunter of the Dark was in the same vein as The Temple, and MOST of his other tales... Just the last one her ever wrote, and a great deal more refined. In fact, he even worked in there a few dark jokes about his own death, and a good friend of his. While I personally enjoyed Re-Animator, Lovecraft himself would be livid to learn of this, and would write them several politely angry letters. The letters might be possibly racist, but definitely politely angry. If your going to make a movie about the best horror authors of all time (and Stoker isnt one of those by any stretch) please actually know a thing or two about their body of work. And if they are to be actual characters in your film, please know a thing or two about their actual character. That is just disgraceful. I should also point out, while Im at it, that Stoker was not a horror writer. He only wrote Dracula because he found Vlad enthralling. He did very little to explore the concept of vampirism itself. In fact, he wrote less about Vlads vampirism than his contemporaries wrote about their vampires powers and natures. It was less a monster tale and more a battle scenario.
