This story points out the very obvious and reasonable fact that this "bible" is different than ones in existence today, saying it raises "theological questions." To me the very mindset that makes this assertion is the main problem with looking at ancient writings--religious or not--with clarity. To me, theology is just another flawed human creation like astrology or phrenology. Anything having to do with any of them has been made up by one or more humans, so to think that questions about any of them are somehow troublesome is nonsense. "The Bible" is any collection of material that uses the name, nothing more. There have been lots of them and none of them is the "real" one.
