This time 12mths ago today, I was on the plane to Sydney to attend the beautiful memorials held in honour of precious Talin. Both were a lovely tribute to a special little boy, and a family that misses him dearly. 12mths ago today was when I decided that I had to do something to help make a difference with DIPG, and here I am planning to do exactly that. 12mths ago today was also when I first met a lovely and caring bunch of people who were also touched by Talin, and are doing their bit to also help. These wonderful people are Gerry Tye, Penny Michie, Maralyn Flower and Mark Smith. I have also been fortunate enough to meet Kaylene Rocha, Moira Tracey and Rob Howard during this journey. I hope in another 12mths (or better yet less) that we have some wonderful progress towards kicking this cancers butt once and for all!!
