This time tomorrow the plane will be en route for Stockholm, - TopicsExpress

This time tomorrow the plane will be en route for Stockholm, Sweden. The peoples champ, the underdog, the kid who COULDNT do it--Aaron Stovall was all of those. He has been hooked on the sport of soccer from the time he first saw his Uncle Jersey Drive and cousin D.j. Bundie play back in 1990-something. I can remember some of his teams vividly throughout the years, from recreation to middle and high school to club to college. I experienced the goals scored and missed chances to a degree that made me cry with him, tears of sorrow and joy, some salty, some sweet. I recall instucting him in training sessions and observing as a spectator. Hell, I remember being the barber for his weekend haircuts. Those haircuts would take at least an hour because we always watched the pro soccer games together during the process. LOL! Now he certainly does not have a contract in place. However, the last year year has been filled with promise, culminating with this overseas opportunity. Im hoping for the best as this game has been the crutch for his life. Through all the ups and downs that we have faced with him, I cannot recall anything that provided him more of a sanctuary. Lastly, Id like to offer another set of thanks on behalf of my family to those of you that donated money, time, kind words and support to Aaron, Myra or any of my family as we worked towards making this opportunity a reality over the last few months. It takes a village...and that we truly had. With your support, we were able to raise over $3,800 of support. Words cannot express how truly grateful we are for your generosity.
