This time, two years ago, I was having a really strange stomach - TopicsExpress

This time, two years ago, I was having a really strange stomach ache and decided to drive myself to the hospital and get checked out. I was still two weeks away from my due date and honestly expected to go a little over full term. Once I got to the hospital I was checked and checked again. Once more for good measure. I was definitely in active labor. I was admitted and asked about my birth plan, I told them that I was choosing the all-natural route and the staff was immediately supportive of my choice. They knew that they were in for the long haul and didnt have a single complaint. I slept for as long as I could, seeing as it was past midnight at that point and I woke somewhere around 5:00 am to start a long and incredible morning. It was painful and scary and also the absolute strongest that I have ever felt in my entire life. My body knew exactly what it was doing and I just had to keep my mind right. At noon, it was time for me to meet Charlie. After the scariest and hardest five minutes of my life, Charlie Kay was born and placed on my chest and thats exactly where she stayed for just over an hour. I cried and kissed her and then we both just laid in silence. I reveled at her and I still do. My baby, my sweet baby is no longer a baby. As of two hours from now, she will officially be two years old and a toddler!
