This truly breaks my heart on so many levels. I was in there with alyssa and she is one of the top reasons I have quit drinking. She is the one that I watched every single day crying and praying for forgiveness. I watched her see her baby girl 2 years old through a glass window knowing her she will never be able to watch her grow up, along with her two other kids. It broke my heart every single day because I knew how easily that could have been me or should have been me. I thank God and praise him everyday for putting me in jail around Alyssa and the other girls in there that are facing 15 plus years for DUI murder. I thank him because without being in there and seeing that first hand I would still be out at the bars drinking and partying like I was 21, so irresponsibly. I than the Lord that I have my son and I dont have to watch him grow up through glass window. I really really feel for the family of the victim but seeing it first hand on the other side of the 28-year-old who went out drinking with some friends and decided to drive like everybody else I know, but just so happened to hit someone and kill him and knowing how truly sorry she is, is just heart wrenching. For both sides! Thank you Lord for sending me to jail and for changing my heart and my life forever!
