When Castro took power he murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent patriots. he confiscated all private property and imprisoned hundreds of thousands, My dad was one of those. Prison life consisted of daily torture. In the early 1990s I worked as a Flight Physician. I flew into Cuba many times (Havana, Cienfuegos, Guantanamo). I spoke to the locals in Spanish. Not a single person I spoke to was happy. Food, clothes, shoes and other commodities were rationed. The streets of Havana had very little traffic. I saw Oxen pulling carts on the streets of Havana! I marveled at why the average American never saw this on our News Media? Those who escape and come to this Great Country are Astonished! Here is the Kicker. They are not astonished by our wealth and affluence. The one question they ask is; Why are you going back to what we sacrificed our lives to escape! That is a question to the American voting public.
