This was emailed to me by Cindy Mink: We are excited to announce we are now holding auditions for the our new competition show choir - School House of Music Academy Singers! The Academy Singers will be a select group of young people who will be rehearsing weekly in both singing and choreography. They will have the opportunity to perform at many community events as well as compete in local and out of state competitions. We already have two concerts booked for the month of December! The Academy Singers will be comprised of three groups (divided by grade) Just Sing, Kindergarten - 4th: Gotta Sing, 5th - 9th; Select Singers 10th - 12th. Sometimes they will perform as one large choir and at other times as individual choirs. The Academy singers will focus on music theory, sight reading, harmony, stage performance and team (competitive) singing.
