Despite the old physical building,there are some wonderful staff working there who care for some of the sickest people youll ever see. As you know, I m in there a lot. One day I saw a nurse go over to one of the old fellows who hang around out by the door. Hes been in there for 23 years and has never had one visitor. She gave him his meds which he swallowed. Then she put her arm around him and gave him a great big kiss on the cheek. He lit up like a Christmas tree.It was so nice to see that kind of thing in a place where so many are forgotten. I know theres been lots of people around you and I hope that helps you through this sad time.
