This was posted by my sister Julie earlier this morning. While I was living with Mom in her condo, she would ask to use my computer. So I created a file for her and just the other day as I was going through my archives, I found this letter. The following letter was written by Yolanda Rous Smith. 1937-2010. This letter is for all my beloved family and friends that I am leaving behind; But most of all, to my precious daughters. Do not weep for me - Rejoice. The story I am telling you is exactly what I expected would happen. All the promises of Jesus tells me it’s okay to let you know what has happened. Two Angels came to me and told me it was time to go home. They were so beautiful. One on each side of me, took my hand, and we began to travel. Not walking, mind you, but lifting and as though traveling thru time and space. Ive never known such peace. It seemed like but a moment and we were there. As my feet touched down, I looked up, and saw Jesus with out-stretched arms to welcome me. He brought with Him a large crowd of people. As He stepped to my side I saw my mother. She came quickly and we hugged and cried out of joy. The crowd was all my family who had gone before me. Jesus had planned a reunion for us to just be together and rejoice. He said I promised you a mansion and have prepared one just for you. We will go there now for the reunion. By this time many more angels were there, all singing and praising God for the glory of it all. We climbed one of the highest hills and I didnt feel tired or hurting. At the top was a winding path thru the woods. We arrived at a lovely cottage, not too big and not to small in a beautiful setting. The trees were full of birds singing and chirping. Some just flying around right over head. Squirrels, chipmunks and other little animals were scampering around our feet. Not at all afraid they would be stepped on. A couple of deer came up and touched their nose to my cheek as if to say welcome. All of a sudden we were on the other side of the cottage and then I saw even more splendor. The hill gently sloped and I saw the babbling brook. Majestic trees so high their branches arching over the path leading to the brook. Sunlight spattering down thru the leaves. Flowers and ferns on each side. The fragrance alone was something to behold. Time doesn’t seem to matter here. It’s as though it’s standing still. Written by: Yolanda Inspired by: God
