I have worked since I was 13, never been unemployed at all. I was assaulted in my place of work 2 years ago, sustaining a broken harm in a prolonged attack. Since then I rarely go out, I dont sleep well and am on more medication that I can count as well as having a CPN visit every 2 weeks to check on me. In March I received a txt message to say my group has changed to a working group, no medical, nothing, just a txt out of the blue. JCP demanded that I go to an interview, which my CPN explained to them several times, my condition but the insisted I go or be sanction. It took 3 hours to get me into a taxi and by the time I got to the job centre, I couldnt breathe and was on my hands and knees. I was told to go home, theyve seen me. Anyway, since then Ive been getting phone calls from JCP telling me I HAD to apply for college funding or is be sanctioned. I suffered an aschemic stroke just over 3 months ago, on the same day as I was expecting a call from them. I felt harassed, hounded and terrified. JCP called me this morning to see what Im doing to keep up to date with the job market when I explained my condition, I was told to write in and until then they expect me to be actively watching the job market. They cut my DLA off and my application for PIP is in but that can take 26 weeks to process. Its utterly disgusting. The treatment Ive had, Id never have believed possible in this day and age but Ive been treated worse than a criminal. All I did was go to work. That resulted in me being injured mentally and physically and now my condition has worsened. I feel like all my years of working are written off, theyve treated me like scum
